New studies show that young children learn best through play and need at least 30 minutes of structured physical activity each day. There’s no better way to engage your child than through toddler play. Toddler play development is an important focus of each class. The active participation in an exercise program can help your two and a half to four year-old child have: better and longer sleep, increased motor coordination, better self-expression and a healthy and physically fit lifestyle. Toddler Play allows an opportunity for your child to be around other children. This helps develop early social skills for your toddler. Toddler Play also improves basic communication skills and maximizes learning during play with endless opportunities to learn, bond, and have fun. Kinder Pilates (Age: 6 to 8 years)
Joseph Pilates said, “In childhood habits are easily formed - good and bad. Why not then concentrate on the formation of only good habits and thus avoid the necessity later on in life of attempting to correct bad habits and substituting them for good habits”. He also said we must “first educate the child” - this belief is the base of Kinder Pilates. Kinder Pilates is a Pilates class designed specifically for children. The class incorporates imagination, play as well as exploration. It teaches children about their bodies, the functions and mechanics of how the body works and how to implement healthy habitual patterns through Pilates. It improves overall health in children by giving them tools to improve strength, flexibility, balance, stability, coordination, posture, bone density, joint health as well as breath capacity and can help combat obesity.
