Brett Howard
Brett Howard is a Director of the Pilates Haus, and Master Teacher.
Brett Howard is the Director of Education and the Senior Teacher of Teachers of the United States Pilates Association™. The United States Pilates Association™ is a licensee of the Authentic Pilates™ Method of Body Conditioning, as well as the New York Pilates Studio® Teacher Certification Program- the first and oldest Pilates professional training program in the world.
Brett Howard was certified by the New York Pilates Studio® Teacher Certification Program under the tutelage of First Generation and Master Teacher, Romana Kryzanowska in 1998, he has been a Teacher of Teachers for the program since 2003. He has trained extensively with First Generation and Master Teachers, Mary Bowen, Jay Grimes and Lolita San Miguel as well as Master Teachers Bob Liekens, Sari Mejia Santo and Steve Giordanno. He is a PMA Certified Pilates Teacher and is on the PMA Pilates in the Schools committee. He is featured in the Pilates book, The Pilates Method of Body Conditioning, by Sean P. Gallagher and Romana Kryzanowska.
Brett Howard is recognized in the Pilates industry as an expert in the Joseph Pilates Archival Exercises, and teaches them around the world. He also specializes in continuing education courses focused around Authentic Pilates™, Anatomy and Biomechanics and Special Needs Populations. In addition Mr. Howard has created a Pilates curriculum for children that can be implemented in schools as well as the private sector.
Brett Howard holds a M.A. in Dance Education from New York University Steinhardt School of Education, Culture and Human Development and a B.F.A. in Dance from S.U.N.Y. Purchase College Conservatory of Dance. He has done a large amount of coursework in Anatomy and Biomechanics, training under Irene Dowd, Lynn Martin and Sean P. Gallagher.
Brett Howard has danced for the Saeko Ichinohe Dance Company, Mary Seidman and Dancers, Stephan Koplowitz, Tarin Chaplin, Hemiko Minota, Renata Celichowska, Susan Koff and the Faun Dance Troupe. He is the Artistic Director and Choreographer of the dance company Brett Howard and Company, which he founded in 2001.
Tiffani Branch
Tiffani Branch is the Studio Director of the Pilates Haus Children’s Program, Kinder Haus.
Tiffani Branch was an Elementary School Teacher in Georgia for 13 years, prior to joining the Pilates Haus Family. She taught Pre-School, Kindergarten, First Grade, Third Grade, and Technology, as well as, performed the duty of Math Teacher Trainer for her District for three years, and served as Team Leader for one year. Ms. Branch has been a certified Aerobics Instructor since 1996. She has worked in the capacity as a Resident Life Counselor for the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for Health Care that catered to students from across the state interested in learning more about health care and health care careers. Ms. Branch has also worked in the capacity of a children’s swim instructor for the City of Pittsburgh Public Pools, and has training in American Karate and Dance. She has also participated in Pilates demonstrations for high school dance students at the Cicely Tyson School of Performing and Fine Arts School in East Orange, NJ and students in the Visual & Performing Arts program at Orange High School in Orange, NJ. Ms. Branch currently teaches Teen Pilates classes for student’s grades 9-12 with the Arts Incubator Non-Profit Organization in conjunction with the Orange School District’s Saturday Arts Program in Orange, NJ.
Tiffani Branch holds a B.A. in Child Development with a minor in Early Childhood Education from Spelman College. She has had extensive coursework at Clayton College of Natural Health, in Natural Health Studies. Ms. Branch is currently a candidate for a MS in Occupational Therapy. In conjunction with these degrees and studies, she is also working on a Behavioral Intervention in Autism Certificate from UMASS Lowell whereupon she will be a candidate for a Behavior Analyst Certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board Examination. Currently, Tiffani is an apprentice with the New York Pilates Studio Teacher Certification Program. In addition she holds a certificate for ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) in Business and Industry from Kennesaw State University, and has extensive coursework in A+ Certification. Mrs. Branch is a published Poet, with poems featured in the National Library of Poetry Collections “The Lasting Joy” and “The Silence Remembers”, through the National Poetry Society.
Tiffani Branch is a strong advocate for Autism Awareness, and has worked with children of varying special needs. She is a member of the Autism Society of America and has participated in the annual Autism Speaks Walk Now for Autism as a Team Captain in support of her daughter, who is on the Spectrum, since 2006. Ms. Branch has also participated in a number of studies in conjunction with the CDC and the Emory Autism Center, whereupon her daughter was featured on a CNN segment for World Autism Awareness Day conducted by Dr. Sanjay Gupta. In addition, Ms. Branch developed and implemented an Autism Awareness Program for staff and students in the DeKalb County Public Schools for the inaugural World Autism Awareness Day. Ms. Branch was also featured on Better Mornings Atlanta, CBS News for her support of the Children’s Health Care of Atlanta Dance for Fun Program, a dance program for special needs children, led by physical/occupational therapists.
Tetsuo Yoshida
Tetsuo Yoshida is a Director of the Pilates Haus, and Certified Pilates Instructor.
Tetsuo Yoshida started studying Pilates with second-generation teacher and physical therapist Roberta Wein at PT and Pilates in New York City. He was certified in 2008 by the United States Pilates Association™ a licensee of the New York Pilates Studio® Teacher Certification Program, the first and oldest Pilates professional training program in the world. He trained extensively with Master Teacher Brett Howard, a second-generation teacher who was certified by Joseph Pilates’ protégé Romana Kryzanowska. He has trained with Pilates elders Mary Bowen and Lolita San Miguel as well.
Before Pilates, Mr. Yoshida had a career as a professional dancer for over 15 years in the U.S.A. and in Japan. He performed as a lead dancer in numerous musical productions including Aida, Carousel, Cats, The King and I, Miss Saigon and Westside Story. He also performed and toured with various dance companies including the Saeko Ichinohe Dance Company, MAD about Dance as well as the Fred Benjamin Dance Company, which he was Associate Artistic Director.
Tetsuo Yoshida has a B.A. in English and International Communication from Kanda University, Japan.
